![]() Keith Meter, a California Highway Patrol Officer, was recently diagnosed with MDS (bone marrow cancer) and is need of a bone marrow transplant. Be The Match, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, connects patients with blood diseases to their life-saving marrow or stem cell transplant. Be The Match will attend The Noble Forum to share his story and hope to register as many eligible and committed volunteers as possible. Might you be Keith’s CURE? Anyone between the ages of 18-44 who is in good health and committed is encouraged to join the donor registry. Joining is simple and takes less than 10 minutes – all you need to do is fill out a form and swab your cheek. Once you join, you stay on the registry until you are 61 and are called to donate only if you are the best match for a patient. Interested in setting up a Marrow Drive at your department? Hosting a registry drive is easy and individuals can join the registry from nearly anywhere. Questions or comments please reach out to Jennifer.Sawle@nmdp.org or (510) 427-9336. Why wait, you might just be Keith’s CURE! Register online today at http://Join.BeTheMatch.org/NobleForum |
