Retired Law Enforcement Officers
“The task ahead of you, is never as great as the power behind you.”
On behalf of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of NOBLE Western Region VI Planning Committee, I would like to extend our salutation and heartfelt welcome. My name is Cornelius Johnson, I am honored to have been appointed as the SF Bay Area Chapter Retired Officers Liaison. The SF Bay Area Chapter is making a concerted effort to extend a loving hand to open our conference doors to retirees. In today’s fast pace of law enforcement, retirees are unintentionally overlooked and forgotten for their invaluable service they have given to our chosen and noble profession. It is in this light, where the SF Bay Area Chapter would like to express our deepest gratitude to our retirees and highlight their significant contributions. It has been the courageous, powerful commitment and devotion of our retirees that has paved the way for our posterity. Let us never forget the spirited and selfless efforts of the women and men who sacrificed their blood, sweat and tears to kick open the doors of opportunity for generations to come. The SF Bay Area Chapter wants to be the first to say “Thank you” to all our retirees. We are both grateful and appreciative for their unwavering and unconditional service.
The theme of this year 2018 Western Region VI Training Conference is "Working together to foster NOBLE relationships." It is the importance for developing and maintaining relationships with our retirees that will be the primary focus of the SF Bay Area Chapter. We would like to invite our retirees back into the fold and loving arms of NOBLE. The SF Bay Area Chapter would like to both engage and encourage our retirees to participate in this upcoming training event. The upcoming Western Region VI Training Conference has a lot to offer that will be of great benefit to our retirees. We are respectfully requesting our retirees to come out and join us in the numerous workshops and social events. From participating in our exciting keynote speaker luncheon, to attending our spiritual “Blessing of the Badge” church services, or polishing up those black Stacy Adams shoes and high heels so that we can dance the night away at the conference “Battle of the Badges Dance", there is going to be much to do and plenty of time to do it.
The SF Bay Area Chapter Planning Committee understands the value of participation. With the participation of our retirees and all our members, it is our goal to make the upcoming 2018 Western Region Training Conference a huge success. However, we cannot do it without you. Additionally, we are asking each member to reach out, pick up a phone and call or text a retiree and invite him or her personally to attend the upcoming 2018 Western Region VI Training Conference. The investments we make today in each other will pay out the dividends of retirement in the future. Join us in welcoming our retirees. Remember, we are the power behind our retirees.
